DJ Martin was the DJ at our wedding on June 9, 2011. My wife had a big a fear of the stereotypical corny wedding DJ and Martin alleviated all the worries and provided a high level of professionalism, as well as a great atmosphere for the dance floor.

He has a great presence in keeping everything moving in the right direction (in terms of dancing, toasts, cake cutting etc.) without being overpowering or cheesy. We met with him once before signing on with him in January and then once a couple days before the wedding. We wanted low maintenance, stress free planning and we got that with DJ Martin, though he is open to as much or as little planning as is needed or wanted by the client.

All we did was tell him what kind of music we liked and the feel we were going with our plan for intros, first dances, toasts, etc. and he came through with great music and not one name mispronunciation or mistake. He is very flexible and as others have mentioned, can do some pretty cool custom mixes that work well for the dance floor, introductions, etc. He was able to implement a slide show I created, even though it was last second and I gave it to him about an hour before the wedding. He has great equipment including wireless speakers, projector, and plenty of lighting options and his prices seemed very fair and reasonable to me.

I got compliments from friends and friends of my parents that the DJ was great. He mixed in a lot of 60’s soul/R&B stuff (which we really like) as well as 90’s and new stuff, so there was something for everyone. I would recommend Martin to any friends or family looking for a wedding DJ.
